Cusco – Quesiuno – Anantapata
- Morning: Depart Cusco early in the morning and travel by bus to the village of Quesiuno (4,320 meters), where the trek begins. Enjoy breakfast while taking in the incredible mountain scenery.
- Afternoon: Begin the trek with a gentle ascent through Andean valleys dotted with traditional houses, grazing alpacas, and streams. Arrive at the Anantapata campsite (4,800 meters) in the afternoon, with views of the majestic Ausangate Mountain.
- Evening: Enjoy a hearty dinner under the stars and rest for the next day’s adventure.
Anantapata – Rainbow Mountain – Cusco
- Early Morning: Wake up before sunrise and hike to the Rainbow Mountain viewpoint. Witness the vibrant colors of Vinicunca illuminated by the morning light, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
- Midday: Continue the trek to the Red Valley (optional), where you’ll see striking crimson landscapes that are just as breathtaking as the Rainbow Mountain itself.
- Afternoon: Return to Quesiuno, where a bus will take you back to Cusco, arriving in the evening.
